APPLICATION GUIDE / 02
Powersports graphics
Different rides.
Different surfaces.
ATV, UTV, snowmobile or personal watercraft: choose materials around the panel and the conditions it will face.
Illustrative brand imagery. Material selection requires application-specific evaluation.
01 / THE APPLICATION
Start with your ride.
Painted metal, bare plastic and composite panels can appear on the same vehicle. Identify the part and surface before choosing a material combination.
UTV doors & side panels
One vehicle. Multiple substrates.
Large panels need careful positioning. Painted doors and bare plastic panels may require different adhesive and removal considerations.
Discuss a white print base with selected metallic or holographic design areas, then choose an overlaminate for the panel.
Trade-offs & cutting notes
Check before production: Higher initial tack can make repositioning harder. Check paint condition and plastic type; do not assume a universal fit.
Plan the cut: Plan each door and removable panel separately. Keep hinges, fasteners, drain holes and service access clear.
ATV fenders & body panels
Flexible plastics. Demanding edges.
Panel flex, surface texture and cleaning can all influence the finished graphic.
Compare gloss and satin laminated samples on your actual fender material.
Trade-offs & cutting notes
Check before production: A steel-panel adhesion value does not predict performance on every ATV plastic. Check repeated flexing and edge stability.
Plan the cut: Paper-fit around contours. Test the complete printed and laminated stack before cutting a production set.
Snowmobile exterior panels
Separate cold use from installation.
Textured plastics and temperature changes require application-specific evaluation.
Discuss the surface and look first, then evaluate the combination under representative use conditions.
Trade-offs & cutting notes
Check before production: No low-temperature installation claim is made here. Follow the confirmed application range for the selected product.
Plan the cut: Identify vents, service panels and flex zones. Confirm the installation environment before planning the job.
Personal watercraft panels
Curves. Splash. Cleaning.
Above-waterline graphics require attention to panel shape, edges and the cleaning routine.
Explore a white or specialty-effect print base for selected above-waterline exterior areas.
Trade-offs & cutting notes
Check before production: Do not extend this guidance to continuous immersion, hull bottoms or functional anti-slip pads. Surface and water-exposure compatibility need review.
Plan the cut: Plan around openings and removable parts. Evaluate edge placement and a small sample before a full graphics set.
These are starting points for material discussions, not validated combinations for every vehicle. Test the complete printed and laminated construction on the actual surface before production.
02 / MATERIAL OPTIONS
Start with the print base.
Compare the look, then discuss the overlaminate and surface compatibility. Open a product for details.
03 / PLAN THE JOB
From panel to production.
01. Identify the surface
Confirm the vehicle, year, panel material and condition. Share close-up photos, especially for textured plastics or repainted surfaces.
02. Fit before you cut
Use a correctly licensed template or measured paper pattern. Keep openings and moving joints clear. Cut on a work surface, not directly on the vehicle.
03. Test the full construction
Print, laminate and trial-cut a sample. Check edge behavior, small details and waste removal before setting your production parameters.
Before you choose
Are ATV, UTV and watercraft panels interchangeable applications?
No. Tell us the vehicle, part and surface material. Even similar-looking panels can use different plastics, paint systems or composites.
Can a textured laminate replace the original grip pad?
Do not use a decorative overlaminate as a substitute for a functional anti-slip component. Texture, grip and wear performance are different characteristics and need separate evidence.
